|| | K. Dees Coffee & Roasting Company hosts You Sunk my Battleship! Sunday January 27 at 12 p.m.

Sunday January 27 at 12 p.m., in downtown historic Lafayette Indiana, will be the first Battleship Tournament at K. Dees Coffee and Roasting Company.

“It’s a great way to spend a grey winter Sunday with a little reminder of playing the Hasbro game from childhood” says owner Jerry Kalal. The fact that many of the shop’s clients now know each other a bit more should add a little friendly competition as contestants battle it out in several rounds, with prizes along the way for each round won.

To participate in this FREE official tournament, sign-up in the shop or e-mail kdeescoffee@earthlink.net by January 25.

Additional “deckhands” are encouraged to come and cheer on players and to enjoy the special Battleship Brew and Battleship Bagels served up that day.

|| | REBEL ICON

2
Artist: J. Noah Mattern
Where: TAF Galleries
When: May 4 - May 25

Rebel Icon was intended to challenge the viewer to rethink cultural themes of ideology, apathy and alienation. Above all, it was hoped that these works, as all artwork ought to, provoked thought and inspired action; whether through irony, humor, beauty, subversion, execution or pure candor. Rebellion is an idea fueled by the appreciation of individuality and the task of forging a world based on freedom and creativity. Art is the reflection of these ideas.
